X’mas Panography!

Here’s a Panography of a Christmas Tree (seen in Takashimaya Shopping Centre) which usually draws lots and lots of photographers attempting to capture the full extent of the tree from close range. I think unless you have a super wide angle lens all these efforts are in vain, especially at ground level.

Hope you like this one!

Have yourself a pixelated Christmas

If you look hard enough, you may be able to spot me making the shot :)

Anyway, Merry Christmas to all my readers! Have a good one and look forward to 2012!!

Odd Jelly Out

Went to the Underwater World at Sentosa with my family – where lighting was extremely dim and it was pretty difficult to get good images. So I have this image of a lone jellyfish away from the crowd (just for a moment actually), and thought I’d do a retro sci-fi type of processing on it… jellies just look so alien. Cleaning up ArtScience

Went over to the ArtScience Museum at the Marina Bay Sands for a look. The Titanic and Dali exhibits were much more interesting than the permanent installations (sadly I missed the Van Gogh installation). Wonder if the guys doing the clean-up went to see what was inside this structure they were busy cleaning in the hot sun.

T-rex

Went to the Singapore Science Centre recently, and my kids went wild over the Dinosaurs Live! exhibit. I have to say it was much more impressive than a previous dinosaur exhibit I went to some months back. Although the eyes of the dinosaur models could be more realistic. All in all a good trip.

The dramatic lighting of this T-rex skeleton model caught my eye, and I thought the shadow of the model made for a nice juxtaposition.

Orange and Green

There is something raw and wild about this image that speaks to me – the untamed tropics. Which is somewhat of an irony because this image was made in Singapore – where wilderness is likely extinct.

Equalizogram of a City

This is an image made earlier this year – it shows the coastline of Johor, Malaysia as viewed from the Woodlands Jetty, Singapore.

The graphic quality of the reflections from the neon lights remind me of the Graphic Equalizers in the mp3 programs like Winamp – hence “Equalizogram”. Continue Reading →

Twinkle Twinkle

Saw this cool light display at lunch – cross processed.

Gold by the roadside

As seen while waiting to pick up my son from kindergarten. Major post processing done, of course.
