Interviews
These are a collection of interviews online:
Since my blog posts are mostly images, I suppose if you want to have a feel of how I think about Art of Photography in general, you should check out my essays linked below:
I submitted three images in my Old Singapore Playgrounds series to the International Photography Awards 2011 and was awarded Honorable Mentions in the Architecture : Historic and Special : Night Photography Sections. The three images are: Dragon @ Ang Mo Kio, Bumboat @ Elias and Elephant @ Pasir Ris.
The entire Old Singapore Playground series can be viewed here.
Everyone has a camera these days – actually, everyone has a digital camera these days. But – just ask yourself, when was the last time you flipped through an actual album or framed a picture?
In all likelihood, the answer to the above was long long ago. Because digital cameras take virtual pictures which are viewed on screens, not on paper.
But my philosophy is that the creation of an image does not stop merely with pressing of the shutter button, or pressing the “save as” button in Photoshop. No – the entire process ends with the output – which is the print, that matches to my personal vision. And that is something you need to hold in your own hands, to view with your own eyes in person for yourself.
Yup, this website is a tool – it is not in anyway the final product as I consider it. This is because I cannot control the color calibration, resolution of your monitor (much less the ambient lighting in your room) – and so I cannot tell how my images will look on your computer screen!
I am however very aware that virtual goods are getting increasingly common and do actually have real world value – but as far as images go – I’m still trying to reconcile that concept with my own personal philosophy. I am following Google’s lead on this- I try to provide a fairly high resolution file (for the internet anyway) without those watermarks everywhere for you to enjoy, and hopefully you will enjoy it enough to want to see the real thing (i.e. the prints I make personally!)
Thanks for reading this far, and enjoy the site!

I do provide prints for purchase upon request. If you are interested, please contact me at headhoncho@fqwimages.com or use this form.
Otherwise, I have signed up with fotomoto so that you can also get good prints made by them at a lower rate! When you see an image that you like, at the bottom of the image will show a link saying Buy Print/Buy Card if it has been made available for sale via fotomoto.
Enjoy!
